Developed by Travel South Dakota, Forever 605 is a program designed to raise awareness among visitors and residents about caring for South Dakota. As a nod to all of the beauty, fun, and wonder South Dakota encompasses, Forever 605 represents the state’s single area code and a point of local pride.
Forever 605 was developed with the aim to balance the positive economic impacts of visitors to our communities and the correlated implications for responsible utilization and maintenance of our natural resources, sustainability of our community assets, and the preservation of our South Dakota way of life. This training provides the information hospitality industry workers need to understand and implement Forever 605 destination stewardship strategies into their daily practice.
Instructions:
- Lessons must be taken in order, starting with lesson one.
- At the end of each lesson, you will be prompted to complete a quiz. A score of 90% must be met before you can proceed to the next lesson. Don’t worry, the questions are pretty easy!
- You may stop at any point while completing the training portion of the lessons and you can resume at a later time. While you don’t have to take all quizzes at once, quizzes must be completed for your progress to be saved. Quizzes cannot be saved partway through.
- Ensure you have enough time to complete a quiz before starting. Each lesson and quiz take about 10 minutes.
